Dietitian
A dietitian is trained in nutrition for good health including nutrition needs throughout different life stages and medical nutrition therapy for different health conditions.
A dietitian will complete a nutrition assessment and is then able to assist with providing nutrition education and individualised advice around food and dietary patterns to assist with maintaining good health and managing a variety of different health conditions including diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, renal disease, liver disease, gastrointestinal issues and much more.
When seeing a dietitian, consults include focus on your health goals, a nutrition assessment, and education and nutrition counselling to help meet your goals and improve your health.
The dietitian clinic runs at Durri ACMS once per week on Wednesdays.
To access the dietitian service, see your GP at Durri ACMS for a chronic disease care plan for a referral.
